maromii art 溶けゆく金属のような、やわらかな質感。 細胞がふるえ、鉱物が生まれるような、ゆっくりとした時の流れ。 生命と地球の「はじまり」から「つながり」へ。 異なる素材や個性が溶け合い、やさしく響きあうようなかたちを目指しています。 “まろみ”とは、味や色、空気感などがやさしく、角が取れて調和していることを表す日本語です。 maromii という名前には、そんな「まろみのある世界」を大切にしたいという想いを込めています。 木材、シリコーン樹脂、エポキシ樹脂、顔料、スプレー塗料、寒冷紗、ワイヤー。 無機と有機のあいだを行き来しながら、ミクストメディアで半立体・立体作品をつくっています。 かつて、木工家具職人として、栃木の山奥にある工房に隣接した小さなログハウスで暮らしていました。 水道もガスも電波もない暮らしの中で、素材とじっくり向き合いながら、発想の広がりや独自の視点が育まれていきました。 捨てられるはずだった端材や塗料を手に取り、思うままにかたちにしていく—— それが、私のアートのはじまりでした。 A soft, melting texture—like liquefied metal. A slow, quiet moment when cells tremble and minerals begin to form. From the “beginning” of life and the Earth, toward “connection.” My work explores gentle resonance, where different materials and personalities blend and harmonize. “Maromi” is a Japanese word that describes a gentle, rounded feeling—something smooth, well-balanced, and free of sharpness in taste, color, or atmosphere. This idea of “maromii” is at the heart of what I create. I work with wood, silicone resin, epoxy resin, pigments, spray paint, mesh fabric, and wire— using mixed media to create semi-3D and sculptural pieces that move between the organic and the inorganic. I once lived in a small log house next to a workshop deep in the mountains of Tochigi, working as a furniture maker. With no running water, gas, or internet, I was surrounded by silence— a space where I could focus on materials and grow a sense of imagination and personal perspective. Taking scraps and leftover paints that were meant to be thrown away, shaping them freely with my hands— that was the beginning of my art.
